Some arrive here after thirty years of chasing perfect sound through every generation of box speaker ever made. Others simply know — from the first listen — that a Clarisys belongs in their life the way a piece of exceptional art does. Both are right.
Clarisys Audio exists at the intersection of obsessive acoustic engineering and uncompromising luxury. Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, our R&D is conducted in Switzerland, assembly in Vietnam. The result is a full-range ribbon loudspeaker that sounds unlike anything else on earth — and looks the part.

STANDING ON THE
SHOULDERS OF GIANTS
Apogee Acoustics showed the world in the 1980s that ribbon loudspeakers could reproduce music with a truthfulness that no conventional driver had matched. Three models defined that legacy: the Fullrange, with its full-bandwidth ribbon spanning the entire panel; the Scintilla, celebrated for its pure aluminium ribbon midrange and tweeter; and The Grand, Apogee's statement flagship featuring a fully active crossover — a level of engineering ambition that was extraordinary for its time.
Pure aluminium ribbons — as used in the Scintilla — remain the gold standard for midrange and high-frequency reproduction. Clarisys carries that standard across our entire range. To our knowledge, no current loudspeaker manufacturer matches it: every competitor using the word "ribbon" relies on thin-film or composite alternatives that borrow the name but not the material.
But Apogee was constrained by the technology, materials, and manufacturing budgets of their era. Clarisys is what becomes possible when you take that founding philosophy and rebuild it from scratch with modern neodymium magnet arrays, ultra-pure Duelund passive components, custom Lundahl transformers, and four decades of accumulated acoustic knowledge. We honour the lineage. We are not bound by its limitations.

THE AUDITORIUM
WORLD PREMIÈRE
ROME · OCTOBER 2022
In October 2022, Clarisys unveiled the very first Auditorium prototype to an audience in Rome, Italy. The response from the room was extraordinary — a testament to what full-range ribbon sound does to a crowd hearing it for the first time.
The Auditorium went on to become one of our most celebrated models. That evening in Rome was where it first breathed — where the engineering became music in front of an audience, and where we knew it was something genuinely special.
EXPANSION
CLARISYS ARRIVES
IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
UNITED KINGDOM · DECEMBER 2022
Just two months after Rome, Clarisys made its debut in the United Kingdom. Sonata HiFi became our first UK partner, with Robert introducing the Minuet to British audiophiles for the first time.
The demonstration paired the Minuet with Goldmund Electronics — a combination that showcased just how resolving the Clarisys ribbon is when fed from truly world-class upstream electronics. The UK reception confirmed that the appetite for pure ribbon sound extended well beyond continental Europe.

FIRST FLORIDA SHOW
THE AUDITORIUM DEBUTS IN THE USA
FLORIDA · FEBRUARY 2023
In February 2023, Clarisys made its debut on American soil at our first Florida show — and we brought the very first pair of Auditoriums ever built to the event.
The response from the American audiophile community confirmed what the Rome première had shown months earlier: the Auditorium was something genuinely different. That first Florida showing marked the beginning of Clarisys's presence in the world's most competitive high-end audio market.

The very same pair of Auditoriums that debuted at the Florida show found their permanent home in North Carolina — becoming the first Clarisys installation on American soil.
From show floor to listening room in one journey. That these speakers went directly from their US première into a customer's home speaks to the immediate and unequivocal impression they made on everyone who heard them.

At AXPONA 2023, Clarisys presented the Minuet in a room alongside some of the most respected names in high-end audio: Constellation Audio, Shunyata Research, and Pink Faun.
The combination demonstrated just how naturally the Clarisys ribbon integrates with world-class electronics — and affirmed the Minuet's place at the top table of high-end loudspeaker design.

OCTOBER 2023 WITH MARK JONES

In October 2023, Clarisys made its debut in Canada — a significant step in the brand's growing presence across North America.
The show featured Mark Jones, whose enthusiasm and expertise helped introduce the Clarisys sound to a new audience of Canadian audiophiles. The reception confirmed the same response that had greeted Clarisys at every previous showing: once heard, the ribbon is impossible to un-hear.

SHOWROOM OPENS IN SWITZERLAND
ZWINGEN, SWITZERLAND · MAY 2024
In May 2024, Clarisys opened its dedicated European showroom in Zwingen, Switzerland — a permanent space where audiophiles could experience the full Clarisys range in an optimised listening environment.
The showroom later transformed into Audio Excess, evolving into a destination for high-end audio enthusiasts across the region. It remains a testament to Clarisys's commitment to giving the European market a home worthy of the sound it represents.

NOVEMBER 2025 WITH LIVING SOUND

In November 2025, Clarisys presented at the Audio Show in Bangkok, Thailand — a landmark appearance in one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant high-end audio markets.
Presented alongside Living Sound, the demonstration introduced Clarisys ribbon technology to a new generation of Thai audiophiles, reinforcing the brand's growing presence across Asia.

APOGEE'S TECHNICAL LEAD ON THE GRAND

A genuinely historic encounter: meeting Andy Lewis in Chicago — the man who served as technical lead for Apogee Acoustics on their most ambitious project, The Grand.
The Grand represented Apogee at the absolute limit of what ribbon loudspeaker engineering could achieve in its era — a fully active, full-range ribbon system that set the standard for everything that followed. Andy was the engineering mind behind it.
For Clarisys, a company that carries Apogee's founding philosophy into the modern age, this meeting was not just a personal milestone — it was a direct connection to the lineage that made ribbon speakers worth pursuing in the first place.

Daan and Robert from PUUR hifidelity in the Netherlands were the very first distributors to bring Clarisys to Europe. This photograph captures them at the Dutch Audio Event — one of the first public showings of a Clarisys speaker on the continent.
The speaker on display is the first-edition Minuet Mk1 — the original form of what would become one of our most celebrated models. That early belief from Daan and Robert, before Clarisys was a known quantity, helped lay the foundation for everything that followed in Europe and beyond.

Florian
Florian is the founding member of Clarisys Audio Global and the mind behind the acoustic engineering that defines every speaker the company makes. Based in Switzerland, he leads all R&D — from the fundamental physics of ribbon driver design to the final voicing of each model.
His obsession with transparency, transient accuracy, and zero-compromise signal paths is the reason Clarisys sounds the way it does. Every design decision flows from his acoustic vision. Beyond engineering, Florian also oversees software development, the Clarisys website, and marketing.
Bao
Bao is the mechanical mastermind behind every Clarisys loudspeaker. As Head Engineer at our Vietnam facility, he is responsible for translating Florian's acoustic blueprints into physical reality — overseeing the structural engineering, precision assembly processes, and quality control that define a Clarisys speaker.
Every tolerance, every joint, every ribbon installation passes through Bao's hands and judgement. Without his expertise, there would be no Clarisys speaker.
Bac
Bac is the operational backbone of Clarisys Audio Vietnam and a founding member of the company. As Head of Operations and Sourcing, he ensures that every component entering the factory meets the standards that Clarisys demands — and that every finished speaker leaves on time, to specification.
His deep knowledge of materials, supply chains, and manufacturing logistics is what makes the Clarisys production process possible at the level of precision it demands.
Mike
Mike is co-owner of Clarisys Audio Global and the driving force behind the brand's commercial vision in North America and beyond. He is also the owner of Suncoast Audio and Luxury Audio Distributions — two of the most respected names in high-end audio retail and distribution.
With decades of experience in the high-end audio world, Mike brings unparalleled market knowledge, dealer relationships, and a genuine passion for the music that underpins everything Clarisys stands for.
Florian
Founding member of Clarisys Audio Global and the mind behind the acoustic engineering that defines every speaker the company makes. Based in Switzerland, Florian leads all R&D — from fundamental ribbon physics to the final voicing of each model.
Bac
Founding member of Clarisys Audio Vietnam and Head of Operations and Sourcing. Bac ensures every component entering the factory meets Clarisys standards and every finished speaker leaves on time, to specification — the operational backbone that makes the production process possible.
Bao

Vice President of Sales for the European and Asian markets. Daan is the primary point of contact for distributors and customers across Europe and Asia, bringing deep knowledge of the high-end audio landscape in these regions.

Vice President of Sales for the United States market. Dave manages relationships with American dealers and customers, championing the Clarisys brand across the most competitive high-end audio market in the world.
